"I Love Poetry" Teen Writers' Workshop

An “I Love Poetry” Teen Writers’ Workshop is being offered by the Douglas County Library System on Tuesday, February 16th from 4-7 pm in the Ford Community Room at the Headquarters Library in Roseburg. Sponsored by Altrusa International, Inc., this Celebration of Literacy event will feature presenter Jonathan Jones. Mr. Jones will give teens hints on how to make their poetry creative and more fun. Extra credit can be given with prior teacher approval. Home-schooled teens and Alternative Education students are encouraged to attend. Pizza will be served.

I Love PoetryThis event is open to all youth in Douglas County ages 11 and older and is an expansion of the annual “I Love Poetry” Open Mic program  held annually during Celebration of Literacy. The February 16th workshop will focus on writing poetry and learning about different types of poetry
